Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

At Read Smart Now, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data from our platform, including data associated with Facebook login.

If you signed up or logged in using Facebook, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. We will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Facebook's data deletion requirements.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Delete Your Account (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete all your data is to delete your account:

1. Log in to your Read Smart Now account
2. Navigate to your account settings or dashboard
3. Look for the "Delete Account" or "Account Settings" option
4. Follow the prompts to permanently delete your account
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Once you delete your account, all your personal data, including data associated with Facebook login, will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Option 2: Contact Us Directly

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email, please contact us:

In your email, please include:

• Your full name
• The email address associated with your account
• If you used Facebook login, your Facebook user ID (if available) or the email associated with your Facebook account
• A clear statement that you want to delete your account and all associated data

We will respond to your request within 30 days and confirm when your data has been deleted.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove the following information:

• Your account profile information (name, email address)
• Authentication data (including Facebook OAuth connection data)
• Child profile information (if any was provided)
• Questionnaire responses and reading assessments
• Bookmarked resources and saved content
• Learning journey data and progress tracking
• Email subscription preferences
• Usage history and activity logs

Note: Some data may be retained for legal or regulatory compliance purposes (such as transaction records if applicable), but this will be anonymized and not associated with your identity.

Facebook-Specific Data Deletion

If you signed up or logged in using Facebook, the following applies:

• Facebook User ID: We store your Facebook user ID to authenticate your login. This will be deleted when you delete your account.
• Facebook Profile Data: Any profile information we received from Facebook (such as name and email) will be permanently removed.
• OAuth Connection: The connection between your Facebook account and Read Smart Now will be severed, and you will no longer be able to log in using Facebook.

After deletion, if you wish to use Read Smart Now again, you will need to create a new account. You can choose to use Facebook login again or use a different authentication method.

Processing Time

We will process your data deletion request as follows:

• Immediate: Your account will be deactivated immediately upon confirmation
• Within 7 days: Most personal data will be removed from active systems
• Within 30 days: All data will be permanently deleted from our databases and backups

You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been fully deleted.

Important Considerations

Alternative: Unsubscribe from Emails

If you only want to stop receiving emails but keep your account, you can:

• Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email from us
• Update your email preferences in your account settings
• Contact us at support@aicorn.education to request removal from our email list

Unsubscribing from emails will not delete your account or other data. You will still be able to log in and use the service.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding your data:

• Right to Access: You can request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your data (as described above)
• Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a portable format
• Right to Object: You can object to certain types of data processing
